Core AerationThe mechanical process of Core Aeration is designed to reduce soil compaction and allows more oxygen and nutrients to reach the root system of the grass plant. Compaction occurs primarily on the surface of the soil and can range from ¼ to ½ inch deep. Compaction also keeps water, nutrients, and other crucial factors out of the soil which results in poor turf density. The aerator machines pull thousands of plugs from the turf area, creating large pores that will allow moisture and nutrients to move freely through the soil layers.
