TIPS:

Picture
Do you feel like your pets are taking over?

Picture
Is this you teaching them right from wrong?

Wouldn't it be nice to have them clean up after
themselves?

Some Lawn issues can be avoided by us using simple cultural practices. Training your pets might take time and dedication but other practices like watering and mowing are much easier to manage. The Blue Green Team tries their best on sharing concerns on practices we do not have control over. Our job is to communicate with you as much possible because you become part of our team when your lawn needs attention. The success of your lawn depends on a collaborated effort with you and us.

DOG SPOTS

Tip:  Finding a designated pet area will minimize lawn damage. The key is to get your pet trained to that designated area. Otherwise you might need to seed your lawn every fall to fill in damaged spots.

DRY LAWN

Tips: For best results:
- water 30-45 minutes
- every other day
- mornings only (4am till noon) coolest times of the day
OR
- 60-90 minutes
- every  3 days
- Mornings only (4
am-12noon)

* NEVER water in the evenings
into night (after 4pm...)
Watering during the evenings when its hot and humid out will promote lawn disease. Some diseases are more destructive than others.
* It's better to have a dry lawn that bounces back with watering...than a diseased lawn that dies off.

LOW EDGING

Tip: Only edge areas the mower cannot reach grass. For best results, maintain
the edging as close to mowing height as possible. Low edging is same as scalping and will eventually damage area, brown out, and weeds will populate.

LAWN SCALPING

Tip:  Mow your lawn at 3” to 4" tall for best results. Keeping your lawn at a good mowing height will maintain greener and healthier.
You can go a bit
lower when temperatures are cooler (spring and fall) but we still encourage you to maintain at least a 3” mowing height all season.
